Strawberries and Snickers Cheesecake Salad

Strawberry Snickers Cheesecake Salad

Strawberry Snickers Cheesecake Salad

I’ve been meaning to redo the post on Cheesecake Salad because even I can see the pictures are too dark.  They don’t do justice to a very delicious dessert!  And unfortunately the recipe is one of the top posts and gets a lot of hits on my blog.  Every time I see that on my list of Top Posts I wince and promise to redo that soon.

Well this was the day.  I had run across an idea for a snickers cheesecake salad that had apples, and not being a huge apple fan I was going to use strawberries instead.  I picked up a pint of shiny red strawberries, a bag of miniature Snickers candy bars, and had the rest of the ingredients for the salad in my kitchen.

In a large bowl I mixed the small box of cheesecake pudding with the Cool Whip and 2 cartons of strawberry yogurt.

I diced 10-12 small Snickers bars and added them to the bowl.

I washed and sliced the pint of strawberries and added them to bowl.  I folded in the bars and strawberries and after putting a cover on the bowl refrigerated it a couple of hours until dinner.

After dinner we had bowls of our pretty cheesecake salad and afterwards I photographed it over and over again.  I was going to make sure the new pictures were just as tasty spoonfuls we’d devoured!

1 small box instant cheesecake pudding mix; dry
1 ½ cups whipped topping (Cool Whip or similar brands)
2 8 ounce containers of strawberry yogurt (I use Yoplait Light)
1 pint strawberries; washed and sliced
10-12 miniature Snickers bars (or more or less to taste)

Stir together pudding mix, whipped topping and yogurt in a large bowl.

Add candy bar pieces and strawberry slices and fold in.

Cover and refrigerate until served.  Best served within 2-3 hours.

It still is good a second day but the strawberries will be soft, of course.Tiara Logo
