I love pork chops, falling apart, tender and moist. You can have such a variety of flavors: Mexican, Italian, Asian, whatever hits your mood or is in your pantry or fridge. Pecan Caramel Apple Bars

I was looking for an easy bar recipe. This one looked good because it had sweetened condensed milk poured over it. That’s almost always a good idea. Things get chewy and caramel-y. I really wanted to use up some apples that were languishing away in the fridge. The recipe only called for 2 apples but I used 3. Roasted Beet and Arugula Salad with Zesty Vinaigrette

We went out for a late dinner just before Thanksgiving at a new place, the Crooked Pint Ale House.  They serve mostly pub type food.  I ordered chicken strips and I had a choice of a side: fries, tater tots or roasted beet salad.  I was tickled!  Beet salad?  Were they kidding?  I’m not into French fries and dislike tater tots for the most part.  I LOVE beets and to serve them in a little side salad?  They are my new best place to dine out!
