My family loves my krab pasta salad and begs me to make it for every occasion, and even when there’s no occasion.  As much as I love the salad, I do get tired of it and want a different pasta salad.  The deviled egg macaroni salad I made recently was a nice change, but I wondered how successfully I could add imitation crab and meld the salads.  My P.S. suggested I call it crabby deviled egg pasta salad. Deviled Egg Macaroni Salad

This salad called to me: I love deviled eggs and pasta salad.  To combine the flavors sounded like a really good plan.  I was reluctant to add the celery because as I’ve probably said too many times: I dislike it.  But in a salad with so many other flavors going on, I thought I could probably handle it.  I wanted to follow the recipe for once!  I know, that’s so not me.  We’ll see how far that goes. Creamy Ham and Mushroom Casserole

I pulled the heel from our last ham out of the freezer the other day.  I cut the ham into pieces, removing the grizzly bits and fat and setting them aside for bone broth.  I ended up with 3 cups of beautifully diced ham to play with.  I’d been in the mood for a creamy pasta dish.  Ham would work well with the baby bella mushrooms I also had on hand.  Add a few vegetables and we’d have dinner.
