Remember when you were a kid and did strange things with your food at the dinner table?  Like make a mountain of mashed potatoes in the center and a moat of gravy with green peas sprinkled around like trees?  I should have become a food stylist.  I have continue to do fun things with the food I’m serving through the years.  The kids enjoyed meatloaf volcanos or carved watermelon beasts spewing watermelon chunks.  One year a pumpkin monster vomited out guacamole. Soup might not come to mind as a warm weather food but it does at our castle.  I make chicken tortilla soup and we add shredded lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, shredded cheddar and crushed tortilla chips.  It’s like having salad IN your soup!  Or you could think of it as turning a taco salad into a soup.  However you think of it, the flavors are luscious and one loaded bowl will fill your stomach. This year around Easter my P.S. (Personal Shopper/ hubby) bought two different hams.  Lover of making bone broth that I am, I used each bone in turn to make a good pot of broth.  Eventually my fridge was full and I wanted to make a big pot of soup with the broth and vegetables.  I didn’t have a plan, I just used what I had in the fridge.  The result was the best soup, ever!  Ham bone broth rocks!
