I love shrimp and I love olives. It seemed like a natural combination when I saw this recipe. I’d planned to serve it at a small family gathering but that didn’t work out. Cauliflower “Shrimp” Cocktail

I’d been wanting to revisit a post I did 6 years ago (6 years!) that transformed cauliflower into shrimp. It was so good I just couldn’t get over how much it actually tasted like shrimp.  I used almost the same recipe to boil raw shrimp for many years and this was a cheaper way to enjoy the same flavors.  It was time to enjoy it again while cauliflower was in season. Jambalaya 3.0

Creole Jambalaya Creole Jambalaya

This jambalaya recipe was created by  combining a jambalaya recipe from my dear, late friend Wanda and a jambalaya recipe from my favorite (unfairly cancelled) show, The Chew.  The recipes are both from New Orleans residents, both with a Creole influence.  The Creole version contains tomatoes.  I can’t imagine jambalaya without tomatoes and have always included them.
